Day 1
Tel Aviv ~ Jaffa ~ Caesarea
We start our tour at the Israel Independence Museum in Tel Aviv. Here we seek to gain a deeper understanding of God’s Word reflecting upon ancient Israel and now the modern State of Israel. Next we will see Jaffa, where Simon Peter received the vision of the unclean animals, about God’s plan for both Jews and Gentiles. We then visit Caesarea Maritima, a beautiful 1st century site built by Herod the Great, also a strategic place of evangelism for the apostles.

Day 2
Mt. Carmel ~ Megiddo ~ Nazareth ~ Sepphoris
Our first stop is Mt. Carmel, where Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal. We will continue to Megiddo, one of the most unique Biblical tels in Israel, located along the Via Maris (highway that connected Egypt, Israel, & Assyria). Next, we will explore Nazareth Village, a model of a 1st century AD Jewish village. We then will visit Sepphoris, the capital of Galilee in Jesus’s time.

Day 3
Sea of Galilee
This day will focus on the center of Jesus’ earthly ministry, with places around the Sea of Galilee. First, we will stop at Korazin, to discuss many elements of the Jewish lifestyle and culture. Next, we will visit the Mt. of Beatitudes, where we will read and talk about the Sermon on the Mount. We will continue to Capernaum, the town of Jesus and His teachings about repentence and the kingdom of Heaven. We then will enjoy a relaxing boat ride with worship on the Sea of Galilee, followed by a quick stop to see an actual boat discovered from the time of Jesus. Last, we will see the Jordan River, where there will be an option to be baptized.

Day 4
Golan Heights ~ Caesarea Philippi
Today, we will travel through Upper Galilee and the Golan Heights. Our first visit will be the beautiful naturistic Tel Dan, where we will learn about the tribe of Dan, even seeing an ancient city gate from the time of Abraham. Next, we will go to Caesarea Philippi, where Peter acknowledged Jesus as the Messiah. Then we will continue up to the Golan Heights where we will get to see into Syria, and discuss the apostle Paul’s vision and transformation on the road to Damascus. We will also touch on the political and Biblical aspects of the Golan Heights and its location.

Day 5
Dead Sea ~ Qumran ~ En Gedi ~ Masada
We start our day traveling along the Jordan Valley / Jordan down to the Judean wilderness. Here we will visit the amazing site of Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Next, we will see En Gedi, one of the four oases in the Judean wilderness, where David had an encounter with King Saul. We will take a 40 minute hike along the beautiful waterfalls and pools. We will finish our day at the magnificent Masada, a palace of Herod the Great, and also the last stronghold of the Jewish zealots after Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 AD.

Day 6
Israel Museum ~ Yad Vashem
We begin this day overlooking the Israeli Parliament, continuing on to the Israel Museum. Here we will discuss Jerusalem in the 1st century AD, and the temple that Jesus visited many times, while seeing many artifacts from the 1st & 2nd temple periods. We conclude our day by visiting Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Day 7
Temple Mount ~ Davidson Center ~ Western Wall
This day starts in the Old City on top of the Temple Mount, the location of the 1st & 2nd temples and today’s Islamic sacred mosques. Next, we will visit the Davidson Center Archaeological Park, where we can see the “Southern Steps” and original street from the time of Jesus. We then will explore the Western Wall Tunnels, with an underground tour along the Wailing Wall. We end our day in the Herodian Quarter, where the spiritual leaders, the Sadducees, lived and likely where Jesus was held and judged before the high priest.

Day 8
Mount of Olives ~ Gethsemane ~ Via Dolorosa
We will start out with an overlook of the Old City of Jerusalem from the top of the Mount of Olives. We will walk down a path stopping at the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus was arrested by the Romans and Saducees. We will continue along the Via Dolorosa (way of suffering), the path Jesus walked to His crucifixion. We will finish our day at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the likely location of Jesus’ death and resurrection.

Day 9
City of David ~ Bethlehem ~ Herodian Palace
Today, we will begin at the ancient City of David, the beginning of Jerusalem, as a city and where King David ruled for 33 years. Next, we make our way to the birth place of our Messiah: Bethlehem. Here we will visit the Church of Nativity and Shepherd’s field, where the angels announced Yeshua’s birth to the shepherds. We’ll finish the day visiting Herodian, one of Herod the Great’s palaces outside of Bethlehem where King Herod’s tomb was recently discovered and excavated.

Day 10
Garden Tomb ~ Judean Hills
Our last morning we will spend together in the peaceful Garden Tomb, another candidate for the location of Jesus’ death and resurrection. Here we will take a tour, have communion and time for prayer and worship. We will end our journey in the Judean Hills with teachings in three significant valleys from the time of Joshua, the Judges, and King David. Aijalon Valley, Sorek Valley, and Valley of Ellah.
